While this "t-commerce" option will only be available to Samsung Smart TV owners this time around, according to WWD, we'd venture to say that this is the start of something big. Given that the retailer has negotiated major virtual store traffic in the past—the U.S. e-commerce launch and the Isabel Marant bum-rush both come to mind—we shouldn't be so surprised that H&M is paving the way to test out new multi-media forms of shopping. In the same vein as Amazon's upcoming drone delivery system, it's certainly an exciting time for the fashion industry as e-commerce has reached a state of commonplace and companies are looking for revolutionary ways to attract consumers. Perhaps in a matter of months we'll be able to order Olivia Pope's outfit as we watch the latest episode of Scandal. Even if football isn't your jam, H&M is giving sports fans and non-sports fans alike plenty of reason to watch Super Bowl XLVIII on February 2nd. And no, I'm not just referring to the inevitable eye candy of anything related to David Beckham's Bodywear line. The Swedish retailer has upped the fashion/tech ante by offering the option to shop while watching Beckham's commercial, via TV remote. That's right: we've seen the future, and it involves shopping from your television.
